Luke 19:1-4 Notice in that first line that Jesus was (highlight) “passing through” Jericho.
Luke 19:5-6 Jesus chose to stop and spend time with a man people hated.
Luke 19:8 that he immediately promised to give away almost everything he owned
Luke 19:9-10 “Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Abraham was blessed to be a blessing.
Jesus was blessed to be a blessing.
Zacchaeus was blessed to be a blessing.
And now, in Jesus, we receive that same blessing.

We’re going to have a lot more to say about each of these practices in the week ahead, but as we conclude today, I want you to think back to Zacchaeus for a moment. Here’s a guy who was far from God. But now this man who had once been at odds with God has Jesus sitting at his table sharing a meal with him
