SOTM: Pure in Heart

SOTM: Pure in Heart

Beatitudes –
Divine Joy and Perfect Happiness

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Matthew 5:8

“The heart has reasons
that reason does not know.”

The heart is the control center of a person’s life.

"Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 'Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"
Matthew 15:1-2
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: these people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men."
Matthew 15:7-8

These people make a big show of saying the right thing, but their heart isn’t in it. They act like they are worshiping me, but they don’t mean it.”

Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man unclean. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man unclean; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him unclean.
Matthew 15:16-20
"You're blessed when you get your inside world put right. Then you can see God in the outside world."
Matthew 5:8 MSG
