Some weeks just stick in your brain, you know? You have one of those weeks where a certain story or thought keeps popping up, shows up in everything you do, interrupts you during dinner and then tucks you in at night. That was me with Jonah’s story—Jonah, the prophet who tried to get as far away from God as he could, only to end up, well, about as far down as a person can go: in the belly of a fish.

Let’s talk about something that’s hit close to home for pretty much everyone who’s managed a paycheck or just tried to stretch a handful of dollars until that next, sweet payday: wealth and what in the world we’re supposed to do with it, how we’re supposed to feel about it, and where God fits into all of this.

When most people think about greatness, they picture crowns, titles, and power. But in the kingdom that Jesus describes, status isn't earned by fighting for the spotlight—it's found by choosing to serve.

The need to belong drives us—it stirs something old and deep inside. You can feel it in the ache of loneliness and in the peace of finding your people. Let’s talk about why belonging is essential, not just for our happiness but for the story of God himself, who—through Christ—calls us together

What is the purpose of the church? That’s not a small question. It’s huge, and it’s worth sitting with. Why does the church exist in the first place? What did God have in mind when He called people into this thing we call “church”?
